Greeny The Orphan Racer is a collaborative indie children's book project by a local man who asked a nonprofit art class of people with disabilities if they wanted to illustrate a book he was working on about his 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie Gasser that was previously a race car. The book will be coming out soon.
The author, who goes by the pen name Mylo Fizzybottom, wanted to tell the story of his car's history while also bringing more awareness about the Leesburg nonprofit organization that serves Loudoun County families who have individuals with disabilities.
Community Safe Haven is a day program providing activities and life skills to adults with disabilities. Proceeds from book sales will be generously donated by Mylo back to the nonprofit A Community Safe Haven to pay for scholarships, programs, and additional staff to support additional participants.
Many Years ago, a two-seat sports car rolled off the assembly line to begin a fabulous journey that would crisscross the nation. The car is "Greeny” and this is her story as imagined by Mylo Fizzybottom, along with the wonderful artists from A Community Safe Haven in Virginia, Loudoun County.
